Copywriting and Editing
Strong written communication and editing skills have always been important to me. I have been proofreading for over 10 years and writing for fun for as long as I can remember.
I began my editing career as Layout Editor for the NCCC student newspaper, The Spirit, where I proofread articles for over 6 years after being asked to continue as a freelancer after graduation. I continued my journalism career as Advertising Manager at the Buffalo State Record and as Classified Coordinator for Niagara Frontier Publications. Later in my career, I acted as the Executive Editor for Pics in the Pit, a concert photography publication, and Editor in Chief for the Life Storage blog.
Throughout my career, I have written copy that has been used on websites, landing pages, emails, social media posts, brochures, videos, print advertisements, and much more.
In 2016, I won the Silver Student Addy award for copywriting while attending St. Bonaventure for my “Walt Disney Started With a Mouse Too” newspaper inserts for Squeaky Wheel Film and Media Arts Center. These inserts were part of my Integrated Marketing Communications Plan for St. Bonaventure University’s Master of Integrated Marketing Communications program.
